Kaplica Rosslyn w Rosslyn

Kaplica Rosslyn – XV-wieczna kaplica wzniesiona w szkockiej wsi Roslin. Początkowo miała to być kolegiata pod wezwaniem św. Mateusza. Z uwagi na zdobienia określana jest mianem Biblii wykutej w kamieniu.

Wiązanych z nią jest wiele legend. Skarby swoje mieli tam przechowywać między innymi templariusze, a zdobienia miałyby przekazywać tradycje masońskie. Stała się popularna dzięki Kodowi Leonarda da Vinci Dana Browna. Obecnie jest to kościół protestancki.

Probably one of the most stunning interiors of any church in Scotland. New visitors centre is excellent. I disagree with earlier comments about ticket price & tourist trap. Amazing history. Recommend

If you're at Rosslyn Chapel , don't leave without taking a walk down into Roslin Glen & Roslin Castle( now a Landmark Trust property). Peaceful and scenic whatever the time of year

PROS: the most stunnibg chapel you'll ever seen. The staff is VERY friendly (one of the reception ladies took a photo of me besides the chapel) and It's not so pricey, app 15 dollars.

If you live nearby then sign up for the Gift Aid on your first visit. You will then get a full year's Free Admission! It is expensive for what you see, but Rosslyn has a unique atmosphere. Enjoy it.

Preciosa iglesia situada a 10km de Edimburgo. Impresionante trabajo de cantería y talla. Entrada un poco cara.Famosa por aparecer en la peli El Código DaVinci, pero la visita está más que justificada.
